Michael Pozzan Winery Dante Merlot California

Grape: Merlot 93%, Cabernet Sauvignon 5%, Tannat 2%
Tasting Notes: Plum, Blackberry, Coffee, Oak
Michael Pozzan’s wine roots trace back to the late 1800’s in Piedmont, Italy, but it wasn't until 1990 that Michael quit his sales position to follow his dream of producing his own wine. Named after his eldest son, Michael Dante, the Dante line of wines he produces are reminiscent of the wines you would sip in your favorite Italian trattoria.
This lush and bright Merlot is easy drinking and crowd pleasing. In the mouth the wine is textured with broad tannin, framing the juicy fruit flavors of cranberry, plum, raspberry, blackberry, and blueberry with subtle notes of oak, coffee and mission fig. The finish is of richly roasted espresso. Enjoy a glass or two with roast chicken, vegetable chili or an herb-crusted rack of lamb.
