Inspired by the Sculpin fish (also known as a sea scorpion), this gold medal-winning IPA packs a hoppy bite with hints of apricot, peach, mango, and lemon flavors. The Sculpin fish has poisonous spikes on its fins that can give a strong sting. Ironically, the meat from a Sculpin fish is considered some of the tastiest. This trophy beer by Ballast Point Brewing Company is a testament to their homebrew roots. After years of experimenting, the brewery discovered hopping an ale at five separate stages would produce something special. We love the idea of this bright and crisp IPA with some grilled seafood or jerk chicken, but anything with a hint of tropical flavor will do. Serve chilled in a tulip beer glass for optimal flavor.
